Australian Chamber Choir: A London Coronation

Celebrating the 65th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne, the Australian Chamber Choir presents the music that helped to make her coronation remarkable.

Handel’s Zadok the Priest and Parry’s monumental I was glad are pillars in a program that showcases some of the best English choral music from the last five centuries: William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons, Charles Villiers Stanford, Vaughan Williams, Herbert Howells and William Walton.

Organ, trumpets, brass and kettle drums reinforce the choir’s “simply phenomenal” sound.
