Join the young singers of the Australian Chamber Choir for Bach – Music in the Castle of Heaven.
The concert series kicks off on June 12 in Middle Park. Under the direction of Douglas Lawrence, it will feature works by J.S. Bach, his father-in-law Johann Michael Bach, and a range of other works.
The choir was founded by Lawrence in 2007 and has toured across Australia and Europe, with some of its talent going on to sing or conduct prestigious choirs including the Newman College, Consort of Melbourne, Ensemble Gombert, and Gloriana choirs.
So what should you expect from the choir? Lawrence states with ambition: “A wonderful, absolutely in tune, pitch perfect, linguistically informed choir with each singer intelligent, well-educated, and committed to the best performance possible. We aim to transport the audience.”
See for yourself at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Middle Park, 3pm June 12. Visit the ACC website for tickets and further concert dates.
