CALL-OUT! Become a CutCommon contributor.

We need you, baby.

Musicians of Ensemble Apex enjoy our first print edition (supplied by conductor Sam Wells).

Would you like to join the hottest classical music magazine in the country?

Become a CutCommon contributor.

We’re expanding our digital team and are on the hunt for passionate writers and music lovers across the nation.

If you’d like the opportunity to review the biggest and brightest events in your city, interview your favourite artists, or write about the classical music industry, now is the time to get in touch.

We are opening our doors to writers in all Australian cities, but particularly interested to hear from those based in or around:

  • Adelaide
  • Brisbane
  • Sydney
  • Melbourne
  • Canberra

If you would like to become a CutCommon contributor, please email our editor Stephanie Eslake editor@cutcommon.com with WRITE in the subject line, your CV, a sample of your writing in any area (published or unpublished), and your areas of interest by 5pm, June 20.

Previous writing experience is not necessary. We’ll guide you along the way.

CutCommon doesn’t receive core funding. That’s why our team of contributors write in a voluntary capacity (including the editors). Blogs and interviews are published with our new Pay What You Like function, which accepts payments from all readers who enjoy the story and opt to say thanks. Blogs, interviews, and reviews undergo in-depth feedback and workshopping with our editor Stephanie. Prepare to receive mentoring like you’ve never received it before.

We’d recommend you check out our About page before emailing to see if you like what we do, and our Team page to learn more about the CutCommon family.

We look forward to hearing from you! 🙂
