In a traumatised world fixated on ideas of class and keeping up appearances, Werther and Charlotte struggle with the effects of depression, obsession and love.
In a production featuring young singers under the direction of Kate Millett, BK Opera brings Massenet’s Werther to life. The opera company’s ethos is to focus on the depth of character, and you’ll have the opportunity to see this explored by talent including Patrick MacDevitt, Erin Towns, April Foster, and more. Performed in French (English surtitles) with no props and no microphones.
