The CutCommon team is thrilled to be shortlisted for the Classical:NEXT 2017 Innovation Award!
CutCommon appears as one of 10 finalists who have been selected from a longlist of 30 groundbreaking arts projects, each celebrating music across the globe.
Also on the shortlist are music festivals, ensembles, and individuals who are changing the ways we understand classical music today. We couldn’t be more proud to be listed alongside these artists!
CutCommon’s award nominator wrote:
CutCommon addresses a crisis in music coverage and criticism with a smart, flexible solution committed to diversity of voices, new talent and innovation and, above all, wider access to classical music. It has the potential to greatly enhance Australia’s eco-system of artists, media and audiences.
CutCommon founder Stephanie Eslake spoke to Limelight Magazine when the award longlist was announced. Read the story online, which also showcases the award achievement of Victorian Opera.
