CONCERT 1

Austral Harmony on historical instruments perform REVIVING BACH:– music by J. S. Bach refashioned to exist in fresh versions including: 

  • Andante from Sonata in G minor BWV 1030b for baroque oboe and obbligato harpsichord;
  • The composer’s own keyboard adaptation of a violin sonata BWV 964; 
  • Organ Trios arranged for oboe d’amore and oboe da caccia;
  • An oboe sonata once catalogued as an early work for violin and assigned to C. P. E. Bach.

CONCERT 2

Austral Harmony on historical instruments perform REVIVING BACH:– music by J. S. Bach refashioned to exist in fresh versions. These include:

  • An oboe sonata movement conceived from two sources;
  • 19th-Century organ trio arrangements;
  • The composer’s own keyboard adaptation of a violin sonata;
  • A reconstruction from a transcription for two harpsichords.

Performers: Anna Webb (baroque violin), Jane Downer (baroque oboe), and David Macfarlane (harpsichord)
