Enjoy sweeping orchestral masterpieces and vibrant 21st-Century works during Australian Youth Orchestra’s 2024 Summer Concert Series!

AYO National Music Camp returns to Adelaide in its 76th year! 220 pre-professional musicians selected from around the country will take to the stage under the leadership of internationally renowned conductors Ariel Zuckermann, Toby Thatcher, and chamber orchestra director Sophie Rowell.

The musicians will interpret beloved gems of Eastern European repertoire such as Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody No.1, Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra, and Janáček’s Suite for Strings. These pieces will be complemented by vibrant works by Australian composers Melody Eötvös, Iain Grandage, Lachlan Skipworth, and Maria Grenfell.

For two weeks of the year, AYO National Music Camp becomes a bustling hub for the next generation of Australian performers, composers, and arts administrators. Experience the dynamic energy that is created when these musical minds come together!
