A series of musical experiences in the museum

CONTENT COURTESY CHAOS COLLECTIVE

Join Chaos Collective once again as it fills the wings of the Chau Chak Wing Museum with noise and colour.

Weaving together improvisation with electronic and experimental practice in both new and old works, you will hear a collaborative performance experience that pushes all boundaries.

Hear works by Steve Reich, John Cage, Edda Magnason, and original works from Chaos members Beniamino Lopes, Maddy Briggs, Saskia Shearer and Isobel Archer.

The Chaos Collective treads the line between classical, electronic, and experimental music. Three graduates from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music formed Chaos Collective to break the rules of classical music. The live performance will morph together electric and acoustic improvisations, new original compositions, and published chamber compositions.

Beats and Bars is a lovely way to end the working day and a perfect opportunity to spend time with friends while exploring all the Chau Chak Wing Museum has to offer.

Beats and Bars: Chaos Collective takes place in the Chau Chak Wing Museum, 5pm June 1. Visit the website for more details on this free event.
