Virtuosi instrumentalists — flautist Jane Rutter, guitarist Giuseppe Zangari, with Marcello Maio accordion and piano — celebrate the music of Italy.
The trio will play a selection of gorgeous Italian pieces, arias, and dances by Italian master composers Verdi, Giuliani, Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Sor, Boccherini, Rossini, and others. Expect a concert to uplift the spirits and make the heart sing!

About the artists
Jane Rutter is an internationally acclaimed Australian flutist, recently knighted by France (Chevalier des Arts et Lettres). An expert in French flute, and considered a major trailblazer in classical music, she is known for her classical flute music, mystical flute meditations, and relaxing flute music.
With her onstage warmth, she brilliantly conveys passion, sparkling technique, and elegance of expression through her beautiful flute playing. Soloist, award-winning TV presenter, multi-ARIA nominee, and one of Who Magazine’s 30 Most Beautiful People, Jane is also a composer and artistic director.
Giuseppe Zangari is one of Australia’s finest guitarists. Giuseppe is founder and director of The Sydney Guitar School. A former student of Gregory Pikler, awarded an Australia Council grant and an Italian Government scholarship, he studied in Italy at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica, Conservatorio di Musica ‘Giuseppe Verdi’. Lecturer, chamber musician and soloist, Giuseppe has performed with many distinguished Australian musical ensembles and soloists.
Marcello Maio is an esteemed soloist, composer, and musical director. Accomplished in piano, piano-accordion, and keyboards, his trademark musicianship and versatility across a range of musical genres has seen Marcello perform in some of Australia’s most highly acclaimed fine music, Latin, jazz, and world music ensembles.
