Melbourne Recital Centre hosts Australian music with Ensemble Liaison

10 years of Ensemble Liaison

Some of the most renowned Australian composers will be featured in a concert at the Melbourne Recital Centre this month.

Ensemble Liaison & Friends will present works and arrangements by Australian composers Gordon Kerry, Ian Munro, Paul Stanhope, Lyn Williams, Paul Grabowsky, Ben van Tienen and Percy Grainger.

The event marks the decade anniversary of Ensemble Liaison’s first concert series in 2017, and since the group has made waves in the Australian music landscape for its collaboration with artists working in countless areas from dancing and improvisation to puppeteering.

Ensemble Liaison will perform with the Young Voices of Melbourne and the Exaudi Youth Choir in this exciting event, featuring internationally celebrated clarinettist David Griffiths, cellist Svetlana Bogosavljevic, and pianist Timothy Young.

The Melbourne Recital Centre hosts this event as part of its Local Heroes series; a year-long festival of chamber music in its sixth year.
