Innovative classical music group anon. has teamed up with five Australian filmmakers for the second run of successful film and music collaboration Trailer Music II. Based on a newly commissioned piano trio by composer and conductor Nicholas Buc, this is a creative collaboration designed to highlight the power of music in driving imagination and storytelling, challenge the filmmakers with a music-first approach to filmmaking, and connect with new audiences through an approachable visual medium.
Trailer Music II is part of Melbourne Music Week’s Self Made Program presented by JBL, with two nights of a unique concert/film screening experience at 1000 £ Bend on 12 & 13 November, sponsored by Exclusive Piano Group, the Australian National Distributors for Steinway & Sons.
This comes off the back of anon.’s TEDx performance in Washington DC in April 2016, where they were invited to share their creative collaborations around classical music to a crowd of 1500 people, in line with the theme of ‘Think Next’:
Led by artistic director/pianist Nicole Tj and creative director/violinist Thomas Lo, their ensemble draws on their diverse backgrounds and growing expertise across design, architecture, film and fashion, towards a vision of reimagining the live concert experience through creative collaboration.
